This piece is inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll.
Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favourite stories. As the “Weird Kid” in school, the story brought a great comfort because it embraced weirdness. It welcomed those who thought about things differently and brought to life this weird world full of colour and enchantment.
I thought about how absolutely cool it would be to get a picture with a weird perspective that was inspired by Alice in Wonderland. After several attempts at different positions this is all I managed to get. However, after some editing, I decided that I really liked this photo and that I wanted to use it for this assignment. I wanted to make it look like it could be real, but also have it feel like maybe there's something wrong with it, like a piece that doesn’t quite fit. I wanted it to really match the idea of Alice in Wonderland.
